Education

Bob received his law degree from South Texas College of Law in Houston. Prior to law school, Bob received a Bachelor of Arts degree in History at the University of Texas in Austin, Texas.

Experience

Since being licensed in 1996, Bob has practiced in the commercial litigation sector concentrating in commercial and residential real estate and landlord/tenant law. Bob has been involved in a variety of complex commercial litigation, including cases involving both residential and commercial landlord-tenant disputes, title-related matters including disputes concerning coverage of title insurance policies, as well as construction law disputes involving the construction of improvements on real property and the assertion of mechanic's and materialmen's liens. Bob is AV rated by Martindale-Hubbell.

Bob's mediation practice has generally received its mediation assignments from the Harris County Civil Courts at Law, which has meant that he has mediated a wide expanse of different civil disputes, including but not limited to construction issues, personal injury disputes and collection lawsuits, as well as a variety of contract-related civil disputes.

Work History

Prior to joining the firm, Bob was a partner at HooverSlovacek in Houston.

Family

Bob has been married to his wife, Davalyn Redford Bone since 2004, and they were blessed with their son, William, in 2006. When he is not at work Bob enjoys playing and coaching his son Will in a variety of sports, enjoying the company of his family and friends whenever possible, traveling with his family around the Great State of Texas, steadfastly refusing Davalyn's requests to let someone else take care of their yard and anything associated with the University of Texas at Austin.

Publications/Appearances

Bob Bone has been a frequent speaker at various landlord/tenant seminars, and has also served as a Special Commissioner in an eminent domain proceeding.

Community Involvement

Bob Bone has been an active member of the Christ the King Presbyterian since 2004, and is a proud lifetime member of the Ex-Students Association of the University of Texas. Bob has happily coached his son Will in a variety of sports within both the West Houston Christian Sports Association and the Spring Branch-Memorial Sports Association, and also serves as a Den Leader for Will's Cub Scout Pack 552.
